[Feb 14 2018]   2018 Baseball Registration Now Open

Athletes ages 7-12 living in Appleton, Camden, Hope, Lincolnville, and Rockport: get ready for Five Town Little League Baseball 2018!  Registration for both our 2018 BASEBALL Regular Season and Pre-Season Clinics Series is now open at:

•     All schedules are posted at our SportsOffice website.  Go to, choose "BASEBALL" under programs, and everything you need is one click away.  Register separately for 2018 Regular Season and Pre-Season Clinics Series at

•     The Pre-Season Clinics are strongly recommended for all of our 9, 10, and 11 year olds who are thinking about trying out for Majors this season.  These players can re-connect with their friends and get a better feel for the expectations of our Majors team managers going into Tryouts.  The schedules are posted on SportsOffice here:

•   “Baseball League Age" is determined based on your player's age as of August 31, 2018.  If your player was born on August 30, 2009, he is Baseball Age 9 for 2018.  If your player was born on September 2, 2009, he is Baseball Age 8 for 2018.

•     All players who will be Baseball Age 9, 10, or 11, in 2018, and who played "Upper Minors" in 2017, are strongly urged to tryout for Majors.  We encourage our young players to find the self-confidence and courage necessary to attempt that next step.  Parents who have questions or concerns should reach out to Minors Coordinator Peter Rollins ( or FTLL President Rick Thackeray ( with any questions.

•     Our two Minors Baseball divisions’ names have changed.  "TRIPLE A" Minors Baseball replaces the "Upper Minors" division, and "DOUBLE A" Minors Baseball replaces the "Lower Minors" division.  "TRIPLE A" is kid-pitch, where outs and walks count. "DOUBLE A" is coach-pitch, and everyone gets to hit once in each of three innings played.  This year, we will front-load the schedules with instructional clinics, skills drilling, and fundamentals teaching.  We want our players more confident and skill-ready for games going forward.

The FTLL Majors Baseball Program is gearing up for its Pre-Season Clinics series, starting in mid-March.   These Pre-Season Clinics are designed for 9-12 year old Majors and Majors-eligible players who are planning to tryout this season.  For those looking to tryout, this is a great way to get a feel for the expectations our Majors team managers will have going into Tryouts. For those who were selected by and played for a Majors team in 2018, this is just a good way to stretch out their arms and get into a baseball mindset.

For those not planning to tryout for Majors, fear not:  the Minors Pre-Season, for 7-8 year olds and older newcomers to baseball, will take place in April, after the Majors Pre-Season Clinics and Tryouts have taken place.  Stay tuned for details about that.

Contact Majors Baseball Co-Coordinators Barrett Brown ( ) or Andrew Hedrich ( ) for more information.
